Taxis, Cadillac sedans, vans, limousines, and 21, 25, and 38 passenger shuttle buses are available. Employee mechanics and company owned tow trucks offer service 24/7. Corporate meetings, conventions, shuttle contracts and social events serviced. Destination management services also available. Green Meetings & Sustainability

Overview Description:
Starwood is committed to doing the right thing for the environment, our guests, our meeting planners, and for the communities in which we operate. Sustainability is one of the key investments we have made at Starwood. We have created an integrated, holistic approach that carries through our hotel development, our operating principles, and our community partnerships. We are particularly excited to launch our Sustainable Meeting Practices. This program will help you meet your sustainability goals and it will help us reach ours. The Sheraton Station Square team uses electronic tools to reduce the amount of paper used throughout the preplanning process. These tools include StarGroups, Reservation Connection, Online Floor Plans and Capacity Charts, ePlanner, and eMenus. Our meetings offer water dispensers in the back of the rooms as an alternative to bottled waters or water pitchers at each table. This accounts for a significant reduction in waste, packaging, and labor. As a standard, we set pads and pens on a table in the back of the meeting rooms, which also results in a reduction of waste and labor. With the Sheraton Station Square's Sustainable Menu Options, you have the choice to make even your food and beverage experience part of your green focus.

Safety & Security

Security Officers The Sheraton Station Square does not provide security in the function space and all personal property left in the space is at the sole risk of the owner. The group will need to advise its attendees that they are responsible for safekeeping of their personal property. If valuable items must be left in a function room, it is recommended for the planner to either order additional security or have the room staff locked. Both can be ordered for an additional fee through your Catering or Convention Service contact. Additional Security Officers: Prevailing rate is $44.00 per hour per officer, subject to change. Officers will be required 1/2 hour prior to event start and 1/2 hour following event. The hotel may reasonably require the group to retain security personnel in order to safeguard guests or property in the hotel. The client will pay for one (1) officer for the first 200 guests and one (1) officer for each additional 150 guests. The Sheraton Station Square reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions. Groups reserving space with the hotel assume liability for any damages incurred during their event.
Lost and Found For all lost and found inquiries please call the hotel operator by dialing 0 or (412)261-2000. All lost and found items go to housekeeping and are disposed of after 3 months if not claimed.

Policies & Procedures

Banners and Signs: In order to maintain the attractive appearance of our public spaces, we ask you to adhere to the following guidelines when placing signage in our hotel. Easels are required for placement of signage in meeting and event space areas. Easels are ordered through our PSAV Department at a additional fee. The use of push pins, staples, nails, or duct tape is not permissible. Signs must be professionally printed and appropriate for public viewing. Handwritten signs and flipchart pads with writing are not permitted. Banners or large signs may be located inside of your assigned function event space. If such items need to be fastened to walls or ceilings, our Engineering Department is required to perform and provide this service. Usually a fee of $25.00 per banner will applied to each hanging; however, banner hanging prices are subject to change based on size of banner and on your specific needs. The cost is determined by the complexity of the job. Please request in advance to your catering or convention services contact prior to your group arrival.

Shipping and Receiving: Proper labeling of packages is crucial. All boxes must be labeled with group name, date of program, group on-site contact, as well as the Catering or Convention Service representative in charge of your meeting/group. If storage exceeds 3 days, a $25.00 per item/day storage fee will be added. For your convenience, charges will be posted to the guest room or group's master account. Inbound Packages : 0 to 5 pounds 6 to 20 pounds $ 5.00 each $10.00 each 21 to 50 pounds Over 50 pounds $15.00 each $25.00 each Crates Pallets $75.00 each $75.00 each * fee may increase based on size & weigh of crate Please call or email your Catering or Convention Services contact to provide them with the number of packages you are shipping, the method of shipping and expected delivery date to the Hotel. All packages will be held in the hotel package room. In order to retrieve your packages, please contact the Bell Desk or the Executive Meeting Specialist when on-site. Any postage, shipping or freight charges applied to the materials being sent to or from the hotel are the responsibility of the client. All outgoing boxes must be appropriately packaged with shipping information, air bill, and billing information. The hotel has a daily pick-up through Fed-Ex; however, if clients are shipping larger materials they will need to schedule a pick-up directly through their preferred vendor. The hotel will hold & store items left after an event for no more then two (2) business days. It is the responsibility of the contracting party to pick-up these items. After two (2) business days, the hotel reserves the right to discard these materials with no liability to the hotel.
Exhibits: The exhibitor is required to deliver, set-up, and break down their own booth. Usually a fee of $30.00 will be applied from the hotel to each exhibitor for the set-up required. The hotel provides (1) draped 6ft Table, (2) Chairs, and (1) Wastebasket. Electric/Telecommunication/Internet will be charged based on the electrical order form and is installed by the hotel engineering department. See Event Technologies tab. All space remains strictly under control of the hotel. No signs, decorations, banners, etc. will be permitted without permission from the hotel. Please submit your plans in advance to your Catering or Convention Service contact for approval from the hotel. Advertising materials may only be distributed in the exhibit area. The exhibitor must comply with safety, fire, and health ordinances regarding installation and operation of equipment. The use of flammable liquids, gases or solids, and the use of compressed gases are not permitted. Group shall be responsible for obtaining any necessary Local Fire Department approvals of Exhibit plans if needed. Exhibits/Displays must be contained within the contracted assigned event space. Should Exhibits/Displays/Poster Session events be added after the sales agreement is signed, please contact your Catering and Convention Service contact immediately. Additional fees may apply to these functions. See shipping & receiving information for handling of exhibitors materials. It is recommended that a drayage firm be used for exhibits if storage is requested longer then the time alloted. See contract security tab for security information
