Suites Junior Suites Our Thirteen Luxurious Junior Suites provides a spacious parlor area and a separate sleeping area. The Living Room contains a Leather Sofa/Double Bed, as well as a workstation and an entertainment center. Our Sleeping area includes an Armoire, a Second Entertainment Center and our Signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed. (676 square feet) Presidential Suite Located on the 20th floor, the Presidential Suite features gorgeous views of Overland Park. Complete with a spacious living area which includes a conference table which seats 10 and a lounge area with leather sofa/double bed, the Presidential is the perfect room for your VIP. This 2 and a half bath suite also provides luxurious King sleeping accommodations in a separate room. The Presidential Suite has access to the Club Lounge. Convention Center
We are attached to the new Overland Park Convention Center. This magnificent facility offers event planners 60,000 square feet of modern exhibit space. The exhibition hall can also be connected to the 25,000 square foot ballroom. In total, the convention center adds 14 additional meeting spaces, the largest being 58,494 square feet.

Transportation & Parking

Parking Fees:

Self-parking is complimentary for hotel guests and feature parking for oversized vehicles in the north outdoor parking lot of the Overland Park Convention Center. Covered valet parking is 18 USD per night, including in/out privileges, or 10 USD per day for short-term valet parking without in/out privileges. A 7.4 feet height restriction applies for covered parking. Accessible parking is also available.

Shuttle: Supershuttle Shuttle Supershuttle provides a shuttle service to and from the airport for guests of the Sheraton Overland Park, 800-258-3826. Tickets may be purchased at the KCI information booth or on the shuttle. The KCI Shuttle ticket counters are located adjacent to most airline baggage claims areas. If duty personnel are away from the ticket counter, use the white airport courtesy telephone located near most telephone islands throughout the airport and dial “5000”. Reservations must be made for shuttles returning to the airport. Please contact one of our Guest Service Agents for assistance. All major cards are accepted.

Same day valet parking is available for $9 per day, per vehicle. Overnight valet parking services are available for $14 per night, per vehicle. If you would like to set-up valet parking privleges for members of your group, please contact your Catering/Convention Services Manager.

Safety & Security

Security Officers Our security department operates daily from 4pm-6am patrolling the hotel and responding to guest needs and emergencies. Additional security information is posted inside each guest room. The hotel does not provide security in the meeting and function space and all personal property left in the meeting or function space is at the sole risk of the owner. We ask that you attendees that they are responsible for safekeeping of their personal Specialized security arrangements for function rooms, equipment, and registration and traffic control are available with advanced notice through your Convention Service Manager. We can provide additional security at the rate of $50.00 per hour.

Emergency Plan In case of a hotel emergency, please dial “0” on any phone. The hotel maintains an ongoing safety awareness program for all associates, including fire drills. A list of nearby hospitals is available upon request. Disabled guests will be given priority in the event of a hotel evacuation. Strobe lights and audible alarms are currently in all public space, as well as audible alarms and hard-wired smoke detectors and sprinklers in all guest rooms. Fire extinguishers are located on every level of the hotel for easy access. Guest evacuation routes and safety information are posted in all guest rooms.

Policies & Procedures

Banners and Signs: Need an attractive banner or sign for your conference or meeting? Please advise your Catering/Convention Service Manager of any banners that need to be hung. A $25.00 charge for each banner per hanging will apply. Please inform your Catering/Convention Services Manager at least 72 hours in advance. Please advise your Catering/Convention Services Manager what name you would like your meeting displayed as on the hotel reader boards. The hotel will, unless otherwise instructed, post your program daily on the reader boards, located at each hotel entrance.
Certificate of Insurance: Each party will maintain insurance sufficient to cover any claims or liabilities which may reasonably arise out of or relate to its obligations under the contract and will provide evidence of such insurance upon request. Outside vendors and decorators must have certificate of insurance on file thirty (30) days prior to move in. certificate should be sent to the attention of the Catering/Convention Services Manager assigned to you.

Shipping and Receiving: Incoming Shipments To insure proper delivery of packages for your event, the following information should be included on all packages sent to the hotel: Name of Individual Receiving the Package Sheraton Overland Park Hotel, 6100 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS 66211 Name of Conference, Date of Conference Date of Arrival Name of Catering/Convention Services Contact Boxes are to be numbered appropriately: box 1 of 3, box 2 of 3, etc. Please place the name and date of the meeting/conference prominently on each package label for prompt attention. Forward this information to any affiliates that may be shipping packages in advance. Shipment and storage for “large” loads must be made with an off-property exhibit company for delivery on “move- in day” and removal on “move- out day”. Your Catering/Convention Services Manager will assist you in accessing your shipment load and advising you. The following fees (subject to current tax rates) will apply to cover the cost of labor, processing, receiving, tracking, storing and moving: $5.00 per box received 0-5 lbs $10.00 per box received 6-20 lbs $15.00 per box received 20-50 lbs $25.00 for each oversized box over 50 lbs $25.00 for each crate received $75.00 for each pallet received Packages for meetings may be delivered to Hotel no earlier than three (3) business days prior to the function date. Due to limited space, for pallets that require storage beyond three (3) days, Hotel will assess a $25.00 storage fee per day per pallet. Outgoing shipments The hotel’s shipping authorization form must be completed and accompany all outgoing shipments. Packages will not be accepted without a completed shipping form. All packages must also have a mailing label affixed on each box including the hotel’s return address. Forms and labels can be obtained from the Front Desk. Any outgoing shipments received after 3:00 pm (Monday through Friday) will be shipped out the next business day. If assistance is required in packaging outgoing shipments, please notify guest services by dialing 0 from a hotel phone. Boxes cannot be shipped unless they are properly sealed. All shipments must be loaded and unloaded through the hotel’s loading dock only. If guests would like to use their own federal express account number – please write the federal express account number in the appropriate box in the shipping form.
Exhibits: All fire and safety regulations and procedures of the City of Overland Park must be followed without exception. These include scaled diagrams submitted for Fire Marshall approval, exhibit show permits. Fire watches for events involving hazing and permits for use of combustible materials in exhibits. In the event that you do not notify your Catering/Convention Services Manager of your special needs for your event and the appropriate permits are not secured for your event, you may be unable to incorporate these special needs in your program. In addition to these permits, security may be required. Please see the "security" portion of this site for additional information. In the event that a decorator is utilized for your exhibits, they are responsible to make sure that set-up and tear down of your exhibits adheres to hotel guidelines. The decorator is responsible for the general cleanliness of the exhibit area such as vacuuming and trash removal. All trash created by the decorator during the set-up and tear-down is to be removed by the decorator. The Sheraton Overland Park is responsible for cleaning any items related to food and beverage functions sponsored by the group or individual exhibitors provided by the hotel. All crates, boxes and additional equipment must be removed from the exhibit area prior to the show. All freight must be transported on dollies and not pushed on the hotel carpet. Exhibits and displays must be contained within the contracted assigned function event space areas. Materials such as scenery drapes and decor must be flame retardant. Hazardous demonstrations such as welding, cooking or heating will not be permitted without a permit from the Overland Park Fire Marshall. Exhibits in pre-function and foyer spaces may be limited in number due to strict Fire Marshall codes. Any items to be placed in these areas must be approved by the hotel prior to set-up. Minimum aisle width requirements and occupancy limits must be adhered to at all times. All motorized vehicles in event space such as cars, trucks, watercraft, atvs and motorcycles must have the battery disconnected. The fuel supply in the vehicle must be registered at 1/8 of a tank or less. All vehicles tanks with fuel must have a locking gas cap or must be sealed with tape. Vehicles on display must sit on visquene or carpet designed to protect the hotel carpet from damage. Vehicles must be clean and runners must be placed for move-in and move-out that consist of visquene and plywood. A key to the vehicle must be provided to the Director of Hotel Security. Please note no food or beverage is permitted to be brought from the outside and distributed at booths on the trade show floor. All food and beverage must be provided by the Sheraton Overland Park.

AV & Technology

Audio Visual

A complete line of modern audio-visual equipment is available through our preferred in house company, visual aids electronics (V.A.E.). V.A.E will be pleased to secure the equipment best suited to your needs. You may contact them directly by calling 913-234-2180. The hotel must be notified at least 60 days prior to arrival in the event you have contracted with an outside audio-visual company. Additional fees for supervision and a daily patch fee of $200.00 each room per day will apply. Supervision fees are based on load in and load out schedule. Should your needs require computers or copiers, please let your V.A.E representative know, they will be more than happy to obtain this equipment for you.


If your event requires any special electrical needs for exhibitors, bands, or special equipment, we will be happy to complete those arrangements for you with the help of our engineering department. Below you will find an Electrical Services Form. Please contact your Catering/Convention Services Manager for assistance with your specific needs.

IT & Telecommunications

The Sheraton Overland Park is the exclusive provider for all telecommunication needs. Special requests should be received sixty days (60) prior to move in date. All other requests should be received forty-five (45) days prior to move in. Please contact your Catering/Convention Services Manager for assistance.
